EVERY industry is saturated in hype – especially the beauty one. New tools, new techniques, new serums and new ways to change filter our feeds and most of us are left contemplating what actually works. But one name seems to reign champion and that’s LYMA.

Whether you’ve watched videos of celebrities like Sienna Miller, Emma Corrin or Carey Mulligan, to name a few, get ready for the red carpet or seen the black cylinder glide across someone’s body or face, the LYMA Laser Pro hasn’t just broken through the noise but broken barriers of accessible, home beauty devices. And it’s completely non-invasive too.

LYMA Laser Pro

LYMA Laser Pro

Promising to regenerate skin from the base layer, the LYMA Laser Pro (£4,995) debuts industry-leading infra-red light laser technology, three-times more powerful than its competitors and with a whopping 103% increase in elasticity after 30 days.

Made with a continuous 1450mW laser that stimulates across 33cm2 and to a depth of up to 10cm – which goes through the dermis and epidermis leading to real rejuvenation as an epigenetic shift occurs due to mitochondrial energisation. It’s 700 times more powerful than other at-home lasers. And medically backed too.

The beauty of this device however is its multi-purpose design. Made to use across your face, neck and body, the benefits seem endless: from altering signs of ageing by diminishing the appearance of wrinkles, to skin-tightening, redness and helping with pigmentation, to aiding post-surgery healing, muscular issues, body scars and even cellulite.

Its biggest use however is facially. So, I went to London’s LYMA headquarters to experience one of the LYMA Laser facials – by Yvonne Martin. In 90 minutes I experienced a facial unlike any other. Spoken through each step, Yvonne took me through the process of what LYMA Lasers do, educating me on why its power lies in its ability to directly enhance cells on a molecular level to using her own lymphatic drainage techniques that quite literally reshaped my face. I wasn’t just changed on the outside, I was converted to LYMA.

Founded by Lucy Goff in 2018, LYMA has taken the industry by storm so to understand why the brand is at the forefront of change, Glass sat down with her to delve into how she did it.

What gap in the market did you see that led you to create LYMA?

LYMA’s launch didn’t fill a gap, it established an entirely new category. Generic vitamins and supplements are largely unproven and unable to deliver a measurable benefit. Like most people, I’d given all the ‘next big thing’ supplements a whirl only to be left underwhelmed, guessing if there’d been any true improvement.

Where LYMA distinguishes itself is as an evidence-based, peer-reviewed supplement independently proven to work at the exact dosage delivered. With LYMA there’s no hope required, you know they’re working because every ingredient has been proven and comes with the hard science to back that up. Then after a week or two, when you feel an unquestionable difference in your sleep, your mental agility and your vibrancy, you know outright that you’ve made a great choice for yourself.

How does LYMA set itself apart in your eyes compared to other brands, especially in such a saturated market?

The best piece of business and life advice I’ve had is that it’s when you step away from the noise and create a new, untrodden path, that it truly works. That’s what’s made LYMA standout from such a crowded market, authenticity as a genuine point of difference. Always proven. Always patented. Always peer-reviewed.

Our steadfast commitment to only create products that work, sets us apart from the competition. Whether that be a scientifically backed supplement, a medically proven laser technology, epigenetic skincare or what we’re developing next. We will never be afraid to push the boundaries of what’s previously been deemed possible to bring truly game changing products into existence.

LYMA Laser Pro

What are the short- and long-term benefits of the LYMA Laser and LYMA Laser PRO?

Both the LYMA Laser and new Laser PRO, which is triple the laser power in one device, are engineered first and foremost, to deliver long-term skin rejuvenation results. The effect of near-infrared low-level laser technology in skin cells is astounding and has been used in medical settings for decades.

Through the conversion of laser light energy into chemical energy within the cell, there’s a dialling up of favourable gene expression and downgrading of those associated with degradation and decline. In real terms what that means is increased collagen formation, improved elastin reserves and skin cells at every level regaining the regenerative capabilities of their youth. Wrinkles are plumped out, fine lines faded, pigmentation and scar tissue reversed.

There are immediate benefits of using the LYMA laser technology too, such as an instant glow to skin, reduced redness, calmed inflammation and an even tone, which are certainly ideal ahead of social events. But where I see the LYMA laser technology as truly excelling is in the profound, clinic-level skin transformation results further down the line.

What has been your favourite testimonial of the LYMA laser?

It’s always the deeply emotive ones that get me – the stories of the LYMA Laser giving people the power to regain control of their confidence and subsequently, their lives. Like the surgical scar that’s a reminder of a traumatic moment in their life, or the rosacea that’s held them back from walking down the aisle. Witnessing a skin concern steadily disappear from your life is no small feat. We’re so quick to pass skin transformation off as cosmetic when most of the time it’s far more about one’s identity and sense of self.

Why did you choose the LYMA Laser and LYMA Laser PRO as a circular wand rather than a mask?

All the skin masks are great fun and have generated a serious buzz but they don’t last longer than the hype because you’re confined to the house in using them. Meaningful skin regeneration can be done yourself but only with daily dedication, so we wanted to engineer a skin device that would fit seamlessly into your lifestyle. The cylindrical design for the LYMA Laser and PRO was a deliberate choice, facilitating precise and targeted application, ensuring maximum coverage while maintaining optimum efficacy and user experience.

Do you have a special trick or hack for the LYMA laser/skincare range?

Goodness yes, I’m always trying to up the ante on product performance. First off, I’ll run my shower hot to steam up the bathroom and whilst that’s going I spritz the LYMA Oxygen Mist all over my face. Then I smooth the Oxygen Glide all over my face and neck before stepping into the shower. It’s supercharged with oxygen and formulated in a way that means the skin can fully absorb it as well as simultaneously pulling in moisture from the atmosphere. Wear it in the shower for 10 minutes and you will look like you’ve had an oxygen facial and feel amazing.

I wasn’t genetically blessed with great skin, so my night-time skincare routine is incredibly important to me. I use the Laser for 30-minutes while reading in bed, followed by the LYMA Skincare. Using them together turbocharges results, ensuring that the Laser’s benefits are not only sustained but also amplified over time. I’ve read so many studies that say daily routine touches our immunity, sleep, skin, and long-term health, so it’s worth being dedicated.

What is the biggest mistake or incorrect fact that people believe about beauty and wellness?

For wellness it has to be the myth that people need a cabinet full of vitamins and minerals because unless there’s a specific deficiency, you are better placed to get from food. Unfortunately the supplement industry can be super disingenuous offering people ineffective products which don’t work, and people don’t need. Instead, we take a holistic approach looking at a person’s total wellbeing.

The LYMA experts have created a formula which builds on each of the patented, peer-reviewed, ingredients to offer an effective solution to so many problems. We only include advanced ingredients in doses proven to work in peer-reviewed studies – this evidence-based approach is at the core of everything we do.

For beauty it’s the myth that LEDs are anything like laser light. LED is a scattered light source, 95% bounces off the skin’s surface and only a measly 5% is able to make it through that top layer of skin. Laser light, however, suffers no such travel restrictions because it’s a monochromatic, polarised coherent light source that can pass through layers of skin, muscle tissue and fat without losing power.

What is the greatest piece of advice that people can do for free that would benefit them in either beauty or wellness?

Prioritise self-care with simple practices like getting good sleep and staying hydrated. Quality sleep allows your body to repair itself while hydration keeps your skin elastic and youthful. Managing stress is equally important. Chronic stress can take a toll on your skin and overall health. Practices such as mindfulness, meditation, or even just taking a few minutes each day to relax can make a significant difference. Reducing stress levels can help prevent issues like acne, eczema, and premature ageing.

These simple, no-cost practices form the backbone of sustainable beauty and wellness. They are easy to implement and can lead to significant improvements in how you look and feel. By focusing on these basic habits, you can build a strong foundation for more advanced treatments and products to work even better.

Far better to empower skin to operate at its optimal ability than attack it in a bid to look younger. Radio-frequency, thermal laser treatment, chemical peels, micro-needling and microcurrent all achieve results but at the cost of undermining the skin and weakening its resolve. I am fifty and my skin is better than it was in my thirties. Why? Because I support it through sleep and hydration and I strengthen it every day with the LYMA Laser. Why does it have to be more complicated than that?
